Oasis was honored to join forces with the Partnership for a Healthier America and hundreds of other organizations for the Building a Healthier Future Summit, held in Washington, D.C., last week.

The Summit provided the opportunity to share the tremendous success of Oasis CATCH Healthy Habits, the nation’s largest evidence-based intergenerational program that unites caring adult volunteers, age 50-plus, to inspire children to adopt healthy eating and physical activity habits for a lifetime – all while becoming healthier themselves.
Thanks to support from Anthem Foundation, we’re making a measurable difference since the program began in 2011:
- 23,000 kids in grades K to 5 and 8,800 older adults reached by mid-2015
- 65% of children and 81% of adults have met or exceeded CDC recommendations for moderate-to-vigorous physical activity
- Both children and adults have eaten more fruits and veggies and cut down on screen time
- Volunteers have contributed 75,000 hours valued at $1.5 million
We’re proud to be among those seeking solutions and action as we ensure that people of all ages find the value of leading healthy lifestyles!
